- Text selected by the user is sent directly to the OpenAI API using the user’s own API key.
- No text or user data is stored by Prompt It.
- No analytics or tracking cookies are used.

This website:
- Does not use cookies, except for strictly necessary technical cookies applied by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and delivery.
- Does not collect personal data.
- Does not use third-party analytics or tracking services.
Browser Extension
The Prompt It browser extension processes text only when explicitly supplied by the user.
- The extension activates only when the user selects or provides text and invokes it.
- The extension operates entirely on the client side within the user’s browser.
- The extension does not collect, store, or retain user data.
- The extension does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking.
- Selected text and API requests are transmitted directly to the OpenAI API over encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connections using the user’s own API key.
- Prompt It does not operate backend servers and does not receive, store, log, or intercept user content or credentials.
API Keys
Your OpenAI API key:
- Is stored locally in your browser.
- Is never transmitted to Prompt It.
- Is transmitted only over encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connections directly to the OpenAI API.
Third-Party Services
Prompt It relies on the following third-party services:
- OpenAI — processes user-submitted text according to the user’s OpenAI account and OpenAI’s privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and provides essential security and delivery infrastructure.
Prompt It does not control how third-party services process data beyond what is required for functionality.
Prompt It acts solely on the user’s instructions and does not determine the purposes or means of processing.
